How projects actually unfold

Case Study 01

A resale apartment in Bangsar, rethought from scratch

Challenge

A couple had purchased a 20-year-old apartment with a dated layout β€” separated kitchen, low ceilings, and a master bath with no natural light.

Approach

The Layered Design Package was used in full. We opened the kitchen to the living area, used lighter finishes and strategic mirrors to address the ceiling and light issues, and reconfigured the master bath with a clerestory opening.

Outcome

The apartment feels considerably larger without changing its footprint. The clients described it as feeling like a different building. Total design timeline: 8 weeks.

Case Study 02

A boutique design studio in Chow Kit, built to brief

Challenge

A small branding studio needed a workspace that functioned for client meetings, focused work, and occasional photo shoots β€” all within a 900 sq ft shophouse unit.

Approach

Foundation Consultation identified three distinct zones. The Layered Design Package built on this with flexible furniture selections and lighting that could shift between work mode and presentation mode.

Outcome

The studio now hosts client meetings in a space that reflects their work β€” which was the brief. Site Stewardship kept the contractor build on track across 10 weeks.

Case Study 03

A family home in Taman Desa, midway through a troubled renovation

Challenge

A family had started renovating but lost confidence in their contractor mid-way. Work had stopped, some decisions had been made that they weren't happy with, and they needed a steady hand to finish things correctly.

Approach

We joined partway through, assessed what had been built, identified what was reversible and what wasn't, and coordinated a change of contractor. Site Stewardship ran for 14 weeks from that point.

Outcome

The renovation was completed to a standard the family was happy with. Not every earlier decision was ideal, but the ones within scope were resolved. The family said the calm communication approach was what they needed most at that stage.
