Our Story
A studio built on observation, not assumption
Plith was founded on the belief that interior design works best when it begins with curiosity about a person's life — not a designer's preference for a particular style.

Design as a form of attention
Plith is a small interior design studio based in Kuala Lumpur, operating out of a quiet address on Jalan Damai just off Jalan Ampang. We work with homeowners, families, and businesses who want spaces that feel like a natural extension of who they are — not a catalogue page.
The studio was founded after years of noticing a gap between what clients actually needed and what was being offered. Big firms move fast and have strong aesthetic signatures. That's fine for some, but many people want something quieter — a process where their preferences lead and the designer follows.
We keep our client list deliberately small. Every project deserves proper attention, and we'd rather do fewer things carefully than spread ourselves across too many spaces at once.
Our Mission
"To shape interiors that feel genuinely right for the people who live and work inside them — and to make the process of getting there as calm as the result."

How We Work
Standards we hold ourselves to
Written briefs for every project
Every engagement begins with a written brief that captures your goals, preferences, and concerns. It becomes our shared reference throughout the project.
Transparent supplier relationships
We do not take undisclosed commissions from suppliers. If we receive a trade discount, it gets passed to you. You'll see every quote and every invoice.
Site-verified measurements
All layouts and specifications are based on physical site measurements. We don't trust floorplans alone — spaces behave differently from drawings.
Client privacy respected
We do not share project photographs or client details without written permission. Your home or business space is yours — not our portfolio content by default.
Structured revision process
Revisions are built into the Layered Design Package with clear rounds. Changes are welcomed within scope — we just make sure expectations are set clearly from the start.
Sustainability in sourcing
Where comparable options exist, we lean toward locally sourced materials and suppliers with credible environmental practices. It's not a rule, but it's a preference we hold.
Our Approach
Interior design shaped by context, not convention
Plith operates from a straightforward premise: the best interior design comes from deep familiarity with how a specific person lives in a specific place. This sounds obvious, but it gets abandoned often in practice — replaced by a signature style that gets applied regardless of who the client is or how they actually use a room.
Our work spans apartments in high-rises across Mont Kiara and Bangsar, terrace houses in Taman Desa and Kepong, and small commercial spaces along the corridors between Ampang and the city centre. Each context brings its own constraints — ceiling heights, natural light patterns, humidity management, the particular way a family moves through a home across the day.
We treat these constraints as interesting problems rather than obstacles. They're what give a space its character. A Kuala Lumpur apartment at the fourteenth floor of a building on a busy road is a completely different design problem from a semi-detached in a quiet neighbourhood — and that difference should be visible in the result.
Our services are structured to support clients at different stages of a design journey. Some people come to us early, wanting clarity before committing to any direction. Others arrive with a renovation already underway and need a steady hand to manage the gap between the design on paper and what's being built. We work comfortably at both ends of that spectrum.
